CONSTRUCTION OF CONNEX HOMES PROJECT

   Following the November 2017 earthquake in the western Kermanshah province of Iran, the town of Sarpol-e Zahab was the hardest hit, with 95% of buildings destroyed, resulting in hundreds of casualties and leaving tens of thousands homeless. FACE took the initiative to construct a residential complex comprising prefabricated Connex homes and sanitation facilities for eight families.

The project was completed and the units were delivered to selected residents in May 2018. This initiative provided accommodation for up to 60 individuals, including children, who were living in inadequate camping tents. The total cost of the prefab homes and sanitation facilities was approximately £15,000.
