The Hakim Rehabilitation Centre, located in Karaj, Iran, was established a few years ago by a charitable family. The centre provides 24/7 care for 100 physically and mentally disadvantaged children aged 14 and older, supported by a dedicated team of 35 personnel. Its operations rely entirely on public donations and assistance from charitable institutions. While the well-being of these children depends on proper nutrition, medical care, and round-the-clock support, it also requires a conducive environment. The centre recently constructed a dedicated room for counselling and activities. However, due to a lack of chairs and, most critically, a cooling/heating system, the room remained unusable. Following several visits to the centre, back in October 2019 FACE identified their requirements and provided the much-needed specialised chairs along with an air conditioning and heating system for the rehabilitation activity room. This crucial support has allowed the room to become functional, greatly enhancing the centre's offerings. We continued our support by providing medical supplies and food packages till end of 2023.
