In mid-2019, FACE initiated the full support for an entrepreneurship project called “The Pakdasht Sewing Workshop.” This initiative involved establishing a clothing manufacturing workshop in Pakdasht, near Varamin, to employ and train single mothers with orphaned children. FACE committed to providing all the necessary equipment, accessories, salaries for teaching and training personnel, and covering the day-to-day operational costs of the workshop. The project officially began towards the end of 2019, we currently have over 25 women working full-time at the workshop, six days a week. Plans are already underway to expand the workforce to a total of 37 women as soon as additional funding is secured by our supporters. These women face significant struggles in their daily lives, and this project offered them an opportunity to acquire new skills while earning a livelihood.
This is an ongoing project supported by FACE. The following images showcase some of the ongoing work at the workshop.
